Thursday are closing out 2024 with one other new track. Following the April comeback monitor “Application for Release From the Dream,” they’ve now launched “White Bikes,” together with a black-and-white video created by Duran Levinson and Nick Scholey. Watch the video for the brand new track beneath.
Thursday recorded “White Bikes” in June at Hansa Tonstudio, the Berlin, Germany, studio the place David Bowie made “Heroes” and Iggy Pop made Lust for Life. “That is our present to you this vacation season. We hope you adore it as a lot as we do,” the band shared. “White Bikes began with an concept from [guitarist] Norman Brannon, and you may hear his distinctive fashion throughout this track. [Bassist] Stuart Richardson had the concept to provide the monitor like a nostalgic, upbeat, summertime model of Conflict All of the Time. [Singer] Geoff [Rickly] instructed us that the lyrics take care of the lack of an expensive good friend — one of many first folks he ever performed music with — who disappeared someday on his bike. This one means loads to us for lots of various causes.”
Thursday haven’t launched a brand new studio album since April 2011’s No Devolución.
